Welcome to
The WBFF Website
WBFF was formed by the Japanese bonsai master Saburo Kato and
others to promote international friendship and understanding
through sharing the art of bonsai. Every four years, in different
places around the world, WBFF holds a World Bonsai Convention.
The next convention will be held in Washington, D.C., in 2005.
As a living art form, bonsai brings about a profound appreciation
of the beauty of nature. The shared joy and love of nurturing
a small part of nature in a bonsai will form a common bond among
people wordwide.
This website will enable bonsai lovers around the world to
learn more about bonsai and to share their fascination with
others. Through this international exchange of ideas, global
friendship and understanding will flourish.
As Saburo Kato once said, "WBFF must continually be devoted
to the cause of world peace for all mankind!" This website
is dedicated to meeting that challenge by fostering the continued
worldwide growth of the bonsai movement.
This joint WBFF-NABF website is hosted and underwritten by
the North American Bonsai Federation and contains the website
of the two organizations. Please use the navigation links above
